Keramoti my love

After enjoying Kavala we made our way to Keramoti – the place we have only heard about from our tourist agent days ago. It is a small summer resort, half an hour driving from Kavala, just opposite Tassos Island. At first sight – nothing remarkable - two to three storey buildings, cafeterias, shops and family hotels along the road passing by the ferry harbor in the centre.
When you wake up in the morning and see from the terrace of your hotel room the absolutely magnificent mirror of the sea, reflecting all nuances of the enormous sky and the green patches of the shore with clusrers of trees, you have no choice but admire and fall in love. If there is heaven on Earth I am sure its name is Keramoti. And when you cross the tiny cypress forest and look at the endless immaculate beaches in the South you really are there – in heaven! I can talk about Keramoti for hours and I would never be able to explain it to you. It is really fantastic. We have visited it every second year for the last 10 years and always felt sorry whenever it was time to come back home and leave it.
You simply can’t help but feel happy having your evening drink in the bar just in front of your hotel or just watching the incredible sunsets from there, the sea shaping marvelous sun path all across its rippling waters.
